The Show Low Cougars got the 2010 season off to the same kind of start that led to a state championship appearance last year - by putting a White Mountain's style beat-down on the Moon Valley Rockets (Glendale).  Rathen Ricedorff threw for 296 yards and three TD's in the win, but the Sports Zone Magazine's Player of the Game award went to WR Jacob Ellsworth.  The Cougar senior caught four of Ricedorff's passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns.  Josh Weeks caught four balls for 85 yards and a pair of TD's.

The Cougar defense was led by Trevar MacArthur's 8 tackles.  Huston Tenney had 7 stops and one very impressive forced fumble.

Next for Show Low - a matchup with the Red Mountain Jr's team this Saturday at 6 pm, at Cougar Stadium.
